Cheeverstown day services are guided by the New Directions model of support. This means that services are directed by those who use them. Choice about what activities, skills and training programmes we do is at the heart of these day services. At times things are done in groups at other times individuals will explore areas that are important to them.
In trying to build independence for people, we look to the wider community for the many opportunities that are out there. Being active and valued members of the wider world around us is central to what we do. Where possible, people will be supported by a service close to their home. Local links can be established and opportunities for courses, volunteering and paid employment can be explored.
